Keynote Address

Leading off the Keynote speakers, Dr. Martin Cooper responded the question: Whatever Happened to Personal Broadband Wireless? Dr. Cooper began by noting that the cell phone and wireless connectivity have not only made us mobile, they have changed our way of thinking: with wired communications, you called a phone, hoping to get the right person, but with wireless, you call the person directly. Industry Address, Microsoft

Kevin Dallas, general manager of Microsoft's Windows Embedded Business Unit explained during his Keynote presentation that today customers are not buying specific devices; they're buying the user experience.

Teardowns

We learn from the past, but failures of the Apple’s MessagePad PDA and Pippin game console also paved the way for today's products. Those present at the Apple Teardowns learned what went wrong with these two products and watched first-hand what’s inside the iMac and the Estes Micro-Tiger Helicopter, ESC Boston’s first flying teardown!

Casino Night Party

Hundreds of ESC Boston attendees tried their luck at this year’s Casino Night Party. The event featured casino gaming tables and the finest crowd in the Embedded Community.
